If you video changes frames faster than the monitor's refresh rate then you will simply never see some frames (or experience the artifact called tearing). Also, you do not have a monitor that refreshes at 120 mhz. Maybe 120 Hz (120 times a second, not a 120 million times a second). The footage was ...The footage was recorded with each frame taken 1 millionth of a second apart from the next--not that the playback is showing us 1 million fps. If the playback we are watching is 20 fps and the frames were recorded at a rate of 1 million/second then you expect to see the bullet moving about half a millimeter in the real world from one frame to the next (using 1400 ft/s as a typical bullet speed). That looks about what we see in the videos, so yeah, it is a 1 million frame per second recording. very cool
