Thunder Over Louisville is the annual kickoff to the Kentucky Derby Festival in Louisville, KY. Billed as one of the largest fireworks shows in the USA, the 30-minute extravaganza is launched from two barges along the Ohio River, with added flare emanating from installations on the Clark Memorial Bridge. This video is a timelapse presentation of the entire 30-minute fireworks show compressed to six minutes. The video was photographed from the top of the Aegon Center, the tallest building in the state of Kentucky. Camera was a Canon XH-A1. Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro. Video filmed in HD of a special charter on the Tanfield Railway organised by Gateshead Camera Club. The charter featured Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0ST Renishaw Ironworks, No. 6 and the NCB coal train, recreating the sights and sounds of the coal trains of the 1960's. The Tanfield Railway is famous for it's popular Coal train days, which are normally held every February and October. So the camera club enjoyed re-creating a coal train day on a sunny Saturday in August. The Tanfield Railway is the world's oldest existing railway. A short documentary film on La Sirena Botanica in San Francisco; a cursory introduction to the Afro-Cuban Lucumi sect of the Yoruba religion, aka "Regla de Ocha," but commonly known as "Santeria" (a name that was given by its detractors). It was shot with a Canon XH A1 high-definition video camera.

The Yamaha Super Tenere XT1200Z is the latest entry in the Adventuring Touring market, and it's a direct challenge to the bike that has defined the category for three decades. The Tenere has everything you'd expect in a road bike, but what happens when the pavement runs out? And they said Adventure Touring bikes couldn't be ridden off-road... All riding and interview shots were done on a Canon XH-A1. The close up shots of the motorcycle were done with a Canon T2i sporting a 17-55mm f/2.8 lens. On-board shots were done with a Contour HD camera mounted via Cardellini clamps (FilmTools.com). Cameras, editing and production done by David Aldrich for Peckhammer TV.
