He was born in the village of Aksay, Khasavyurt district. He received his musical education, then engaged in teaching activities. His first song, "Aksay Waltz" which was written in 1958 and gained rapid and widespread in Dagestan and beyond. Creativity and talent of George Ismakov marked a high award of the Government of Dagestan - was awarded the honorary title "Honored Artist of Russia". In the village of Aksay numerically dominated Kumyk nationality, which belongs to the Turkic language group. Even in his early years George wrote the song "Aksay Waltz" on Kumyk language that speaks perfect. This product was very rapid and widespread in Dagestan and beyond. His life was happy and long, it continues to be heard and to this day. In his younger years the composer participated in the raion and national song contest and repeatedly won prizes. In the extreme South of the Russian Federation, spreading along the ridges of the Greater Caucasus and the plains bordering on the Caucasian foothills lies a remarkable Mountain Country known as Dagestan. From times of old Daghestan has retained still another name - Land of Languages. Only here one can meet people that speak over 30 languages. The Northern, flat Daghestan is populated by Kumyks and Nogais, the mountain lands - by the most numerous people - the Avars, the mountains and foothills - by Dargins, Lezgins, Laks, Tabasarans, Rutuls, Aguls and Tsakhurs. What is the most important - all these peoples understand one another and are united by the common effort for the good of their native Daghestan. The Daghestan peoples practice stock raising, fishing and fruit-growing; they grow cereals, work in plants and factories, oil and gas fields, and build irrigation canals and dams by hydro-electric power plants.
