Jean-Luc Godard's trailer for the 2008 Viennale. The festival trailer Une catastrophe was realized by director Jean-Luc Godard and will be screened from September 18 in 100 selected Austrian cinemas as well as during the course of the Viennale program from October 17 to 29. Entitled Une catastrophe, the film is a kind of cinematographic poem about violence and love, conceived in Godard's characteristic montage and combination of cinematic material, sounds, language and music. It includes short excerpts from Eisensteins Battleship Potemkin (1925) and the collective film People on Sunday (1930), accompanied by a Low German 18th-century poem from Western Pomerania with the lines: Kumm du um Middernach / Kumm du Klock een / Vader slöpt / Moder slöpt / ik slap alleen. Klopp an de Kammerdör / fat an de Klink. / Vader meent / Moder meent / dat deit de Wind *** Der diesjährige Festival-Trailer Une catastrophe wurde vom Regisseur Jean-Luc Godard realisiert und läuft ab 18. September österreichweit in über 100 ausgewählten Kinos und wird während der Viennale von 17.-29. Oktober wiederholt im Programm des Festivals zu sehen sein. Вместе с ним погиб майор 76 гвардейской дивизии ВДВ Александр Петрович Осадчий - его проводник по фронтовому Грозному. Валентин Александрович Янус погиб в том самом городе, где родился 55 лет назад. January 14, 1995 film journalist from Pskov Valentin Yanus filmed his own death in Grozny near the "palace of Dudayev." Along with him was killed his front-line guide Aleksandr Osadchy, Major of the 76 Airborne Division. Valentine Janus died in the same city where he was born 55 years ago. Операторы В.Янус и Б.Шерстнёв. 76-я гвардейская (Псковская) дивизия ВДВ, к которой принадлежал майор А.П.Осадчий, потеряла в 1994-1995 годах 120 солдат и офицеров (только с 6 по 14 января 1995 г. погибло 45 человек из этой дивизии). 10 человек удостоены звания Героя России (двое из них - посмертно). 76th Guards (Pskov) Airborne Division, to which belonged to Major Osadchy, lost in 1994-1995, 120 officers and men (only 6-14 January 1995, 45 people from that division were killed). 10 people were awarded the title Hero of Russia (two of them posthumously).
